Boeing subsidiary Jeppesen hacked.

Jeppesen a subsidiary of Boeing offers navigational information, operations planning tools, flight planning products and software. Boeing spokesman Yukui Wang issued the following statement “Our subsidiary, Jeppesen, experienced a cyber incident affecting certain flight planning products and services,”. There has been some flight planning disruption, but at this time we have no reason to believe that this incident poses a threat to aircraft or flight safety.”

On the website it reads the following: “We are currently experiencing technical issues with some of our products, services and communication channels. We are working to restore functionality as soon as possible.”

The cyberattack is at least impacting the receipt and processing of current and new Notice to Air Missions (NOTAMs) — A NOTAM is a notice containing information essential to personnel concerned with flight operations but not known far enough in advance to be publicized by other means. It states the abnormal status of a component of the National Airspace System (NAS) – not the normal status.

Jeppesen is working to remediate the issue.
