Red Cross hacked

The International committee of Red Cross was involved in a cyber attack that compromised personal data and confidential information of over 515,000 highly vulnerable people, including those separated from their families due to conflict, migration and disaster, missing persons and their families, and people in detention.

The hackers targeted an external company in Switzerland that the International committee of Red Cross pays to store data. There has been no evidence so far that the compromised information had been leaked or put in the public domain. However it is concerning that this group was targeted.
